Tracking perishables by the pallet load

Youngs needed a solution that could seamlessly replace an existing barcode solution . We developed an application to run on their existing servers and handheld barcode scanners (running Windows Mobile). The software tracks the loading of pallets, generates barcode labels and integrates that information with their production line management software.

When pallets leave the production line for dispatch, all the production line and warehouse staff need do is scan the barcode.

Timely and accurate information on the ground and in the backend database means perishable product arrives on time and waste is cut, saving money and improving customer satisfaction.

Hand held devices are crucial to the process. When the longstanding Microsoft Mobile 2 devices were no longer available, we recoded to the latest version.
